Cititrans Collaborates with Sarinah and Hotels to Enhance Convenience for Tourists

n a bid to support the Rumah Turis (Tourist House) program, Sarinah has joined forces with MRT Jakarta, Cititrans, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Pan Pacific Jakarta, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites, Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, and Sari Pacific Jakarta - Autograph Collection. This collaboration aims to create a more seamless travel experience for tourists while positioning Sarinah as a premier shopping destination accessible via public transportation.
Fetty Kwartati, President Director of PT Sarinah, emphasized that this partnership is a tangible step towards providing tourists with a more comfortable and seamless experience.
"We understand that a memorable travel experience is not just about the destination itself but also about accessibility and supporting services. Moving forward, Sarinah will establish Rumah Turis, an epicenter for tourists visiting Jakarta, featuring a souvenir center and a hub for Indonesian cultural activations. Through this partnership, we seek to create an integrated travel experience, particularly for hotel guests, and solidify Sarinah and Rumah Turis as a preferred shopping destination accessible via public transport," Fetty stated.
As part of this initiative, PT Sarinah has collaborated with MRT Jakarta to encourage the use of public transportation to Sarinah. This partnership includes special campaigns for MRT Jakarta passengers, promotional programs with Sarinah tenants via the MyMRTJ app, and exclusive offers at Sarinah Department Store for MyMRTJ users. Farchad Mahfud, Director of Business Development at PT MRT Jakarta, expressed support for integrating public transport with Sarinah as a strategic move to promote Jakarta as a Global City. This integration is expected to increase public transport usage while also opening opportunities for new business collaborations between MRT Jakarta and Sarinah, particularly in the urban lifestyle sector.
Additionally, Cititrans will operate a shuttle service connecting five-star hotels with Sarinah. This service aims to provide convenience for hotel guests, allowing them to enjoy Sarinah's unique Indonesian cultural and shopping experiences.
"At Cititrans, we believe that comfortable and efficient transportation is a key element in enhancing both leisure and business travel experiences. Our shuttle service will not only connect Sarinah with nearby hotels but also extend to key destinations such as Bandung, Cirebon, and the airport. Through this initiative, we hope to further strengthen Sarinah’s role as an accessible activity hub while contributing to the surrounding economic growth," said Justinus Kezia, VP of Commercial at Cititrans.
The collaboration also extends to several prestigious hotels in Jakarta, including Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Pan Pacific Jakarta, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Jakarta, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Park Hyatt Jakarta, and Sari Pacific Jakarta - Autograph Collection. The partnership entails dedicated shuttle service areas, signage within hotel premises, and joint promotional programs running from March 5, 2025, to March 4, 2026.
